The young people — the teenagers in particular– should open up and share their problems and health issues with the proper agencies.
This was admonished by Board Member Jorge Estanislao, committee chair of health in the Provincial Board of Bataan.
Doc Bokal Estanislao and colleague Board Member Romano del Rosario were invited as guest speakers during the opening of the first Teenage Information Center located opposite the Comelec office in the Bataan provincial capitol compound.
The TIC project is spearheaded by Board Member Precious Manuel, chair of provincial board committee on youth and sports.
Estanislao said it is very important for the teenagers, considering that HIV/AIDS are among the top killer diseases in the country.
“Hindi ninyo malalaman kung meron kayo niyan unless magpa-blood test kayo,” said the medical practioner from Morong.
He said the younger generation should be aware of the danger they are about to encounter if they engage in early sex activities.
“Pag positive ang mother, maaaring positive din ang baby,” Estanislao warned the youth.
